Santo Slips Away from the Buffaloes

The Buffaloes hosted the Santo Wildcats on Friday and came up short 28-6. Santo, now 3-0 in district, came out on a cool and wet night and jumped on top early. The Buffaloes, now 1-2 in district, couldn’t get their footing and let the Wildcats slip away.

Offensively, the Buffs only had 128 yards of offense, rushing 35 times for 93 yards and throwing 4-12 for 35 yards. Kaiden Petree had 10 carries for 47 yards, and 2 catches for 20, converting 1 run into a TD. Rylan Laminack had 12 rushes for 28 yards, Creed Goode ran 4 for 15 yards, J.C. McDonald had 1 run for 3 yards, and Holden Senclair had 9 runs for no yards.

The defense was strong throughout the night, even when put in tough field position after some possessions. Santo had 170 yards running and only 46 in the air.  Next game will Thursday October 29th In Baird @ 7:30.
