The Cross Plains Buffaloes earned their 10th win of the year, and their first district win against Rising Star Friday night. The Buffaloes (10 – 7, 1 – 0) started off slow and the game was even after the 1st quarter, 8 – 8. Then, the Buffaloes came alive in the second quarter and never looked back as they rolled the Wildcats the rest of the way. The Defense picked up the slack and gave the Buffaloes a 22 – 19 lead heading into half.

The Buffaloes came out of halftime with much of the same attack held the Wildcats to 3 points in the 3rd quarter and took the lead 35 – 22. The 4th quarter showed to be a frenzy as both teams were heating up. In the end, the Wildcats couldn’t get close and the Buffaloes came away with their district opener win 55- 42. The Buffaloes travel to Eula Friday night to take on the Pirates.
