Last Friday, The Buffaloes went to De Leon and ruined their homecoming, with a 28 – 9 victory. The Buffaloes used a 3-headed monster in the backfield with Rylan Laminack, Kaiden Petree, and Creed Goode running wild on the Bearcats all night. The entire defense stood strong and denied the Bearcats all night from becoming a threat. The Buffaloes are 2 – 1 now heading into week 4 with the Homecoming game being against Roby this Friday night (Sept. 18) starting at 7:30.
Offensively on the night, the Buffs started off slow and then found their rhythm the 2nd half. Creed Goode had a nice night running all over the Bearcats, with 10 carries for 152 yards, 2 of which ended with 43 yd. touchdown run, and a 60 yd. touchdown run. Rylan Laminack also had 2 touchdowns, coming on a 20 yard run and an 8 yard run. Kaiden Petree had 17 carries and piled up 65 yards.
The passing game wasn’t needed as much tonight because the game was so strong, and since the Buffs were in control the whole game. But Holden Senclair went 5-9, hitting Kaiden Petree for 4 yards, Creed Goode for 4 yards, Rylan Laminack twice for 9 yards, Logan Phillips for 11 yards, and caught a pass for 7 yards.
Defensively, The Buffs were ready to play and came out stopping the Bearcats all night long. The Bearcats were desperate to score before the half and came down and hit a perfect throw and catch to score before the half. The only other score came from a blocked extra point and return that gave them 2 points. In the end, the Buffs were to strong on both sides of the ball and sent the Bearcats and their fans home with a lose.
