Multiple Teams · Buffaloes Can’t Hold on against Baird.

The Buffaloes went to Baird last week and took on the Bears in a hard fought battle between 2 playoff caliber teams. The Buffs came out on the losing end, 27-12.

Offensively, the Buffs came out fast and scored on the second play of the game, with a 52 yard run for a touchdown by Holden Senclair. Senclair had 9 runs for 78 yards, and went 6-15 passing for 61 yards. Kaiden Petree had 9 rushes for 53 yards, Rylan Laminack had 10 rushes for 30 yards and 1 touchdown, and Creed Goode had 9 runs for 47 yards.

In the air, Rylan Laminack caught 5 passes for 47 yards and Kaiden Petree had 1 for 14 yards.

Defensively the Buffs had a tough task and played hard, keeping the Bears out of the end zone most of the game. The Bears got a short field after some costly turnovers that forced the Buffaloes to try and hold the Bears off, but couldn’t keep them out all night. The Bears had a big 2nd quarter that seemed to be just enough to keep the Buffaloes out of reach.

This week the Buffaloes travel to Perrin-Whitt for the final playoff spot, this Friday @ 7:30.
